BigCommerce recently partnered with Walmart, allowing its customers to sell their products on the Arkansas-based retailer’s marketplace. The motion has pushed BigCommerce shares up by 10%. Walmart is known for its success in eCommerce and has reported 7.3% growth as a whole and a whopping 69% advancement in its eCommerce sales in the most recent quarter. BigCommerce decided to tap into this opportunity and boost both their growths. BigCommerce customers selling on Walmart would mean that the customers get a broader audience and a wider selling platform. Walmart gains traction with product diversity and volume. BigCommerce and Walmart are both promoting the adoption with new-seller discounts to their customers. They have also added fee waivers to the mix exclusively for BigCommerce customers that sign up quickly.
