To make development more efficient and effective of experimental features powered by the WordPress Gutenberg project, WooCommerce is switching its L2 support policy for Woocommerce Blocks from L2 to L0. This means that as of version 5.6.0, the feature plugin will require updated versions of both WordPress and WooCommerce to function fully on a site running either platform update—a move which aligns with what core updates within Core follow for their own framework moving forward (expected WP 5.3+). WordPress and WooCommerce are collaborating on the development of features for WordPress Gutenberg powered sites using WooCommerce Blocks. While developers opt for these new features, they need help updating their plugins too; that’s why support for all L2-level plugin versions officially switches over with version 5.6 of WooCommerce Blocks!
