Virtina won a challenging project from an Oyster company in the USA. The client is well renowned for serving superior quality oysters. The chef's in their business serve only the highest standard of East Coast and West Coast oysters.
The company orders oysters fresh from farms and specifically for every event they organize. Their oysters are rich, flavourful, and their oysters' delicious taste pleases even the most seasoned and particular oyster lover's palate.
The client offered oyster kits and accessories on their eCommerce website. The website is running on WooCommerce. At the time of contact, the website was suffering from performance issues. The overall website was bloated and misconfigured, which led to several delays and slow page loads. The client wished to optimize the site.
Beyond this, the client also wanted to improve the way products were added to the cart. In essence, they wished to make the process more smooth and easy. Furthermore, make it efficient for the customers. The client asked to include an "Add to Cart" button on the shop page for all products. They also asked to add the PayPal easy checkout to streamline the buyer's checkout process.
The client even asked to include a social login option on the website. As per this, any user will be able to login to the website using social networks (Google, Facebook, and Instagram). This will help the users log in directly without entering username and password. Furthermore, it'll allow the admin to track and gather user purchase history to provide special discounts and offers.
All this information collected from the above process will be funneled into an Active Campaign database. The client wanted to use this for data mining. As per this, they'll collect all the customer information on the database for any present or future marketing campaigns.
Aside from this, the client requested to set up a reminder for users who leave products in their cart. In other words, send reminders to users who don't complete the checkout and abandon products in their cart. They also wished to implement a subscription plan on the website.
The subscription plan would either be monthly or yearly. The plan would be integrated into an existing product detail page. This allows users to view the available payment plans, choose the appropriate plan, and make the payment through PayPal with ease.
The users could opt for one time purchases or get their oyster delivered on special holidays by choosing the monthly plan. The users should be able to select any day from the calendar except Sunday and Monday. Since FedEx doesn't take fresh food on those two days. Users must also get the ability to skip the next or any month's delivery from their dashboard.
The client had discovered another website and wanted our experts to use that for reference when making changes. The client loved the aesthetics, shop, suggestions, add-in products, login, and many such features on the other website.
The Woo Experts at Virtina helped with the speed optimization issues on various levels. They worked on the website from the code, server/hosting, database, web server, and CDN level. This allowed us to optimize and speed up the website more holistically.
Not only this, the experts at Virtina worked brilliantly to implement the social login feature to enable seamless login and access. The subscription plans helped the users place orders as per their wish, besides giving the client a consistent revenue source. The cart reminder helped grab more orders and increased the client's sales and revenue.
