Virtina won a challenging project from a trading company in Australia. The website running on WooCommerce helps people to sell any unwanted, yet useful items sitting in their household. All they'd need to do is create a seller's account and list the product they wish to trade.
The product is uploaded and listed on the site, along with a description, relevant images, and a fixed price. The buyer's on the site will make an offer against the cost, on which the sellers are free to create a counter-offer. Once a price is agreed between the seller and the buyer, the product is considered sold.
The best part, buyers don't even need to be a registered user on the site. If they wish, they could buy the product at the advertised price or negotiate for a lesser price with the seller. However, buyers would need to take care of the shipping, pickup, postage, and handling charges.
The client wished to display the location of the seller on the product detail page. The location details would include the city and state of the seller (vendor). The location details are necessary to give the buyers a relative understanding of their proximity to the seller for shipping or pickup purposes.
The client also requested to change the home page of their mobile site. Since, the mobile home page was different from their desktop home page. The client wanted the mobile home page to be consistent with the Desktop version
The home page displayed the desktop version upon selecting "mobile view" in the WP dashboard preview mode. However, when accessed on an actual mobile, the home page URL would not reflect the WP admin dashboard's home page. Instead, it would show another sample page.
Furthermore, the client wanted to restrict the vendors to post only one unit per product at a time. When a customer buys a product, it disappears off the website. The default value against each product must be set to one on the website. No quantity selection for the vendors - they shouldn't get to vary the quantity of the products.
The WooCommerce experts at Virtina derived the city from the city field in the vendor's (seller) profile. Aside from this, we also derived the state from the state field in the vendor's profile. The experts then displayed both of this info under the product category on the product detail page.
The experts in Virtina gave vendors the option to add products but restricted the stock to one. In other words, the stock level is always set to one by default. The vendor will not get the option to manage the
