Virtina was approached by one of the nation's largest providers of home-based care. The Texas-based company provides the highest-quality personal care, skilled home health, and hospice care. The client also sold physician kits and bi fold hospice kits on their WooCommerce store.
The client's WooCommerce store required approval from one of their personnel (approvers) before a user could make a purchase. The process also involved the user submitting a form that took details like name, address, etc.
The additional fields on the form were hard coded/static. Which meant it required a developer to edit it. The client wanted to be able to customize the additional fields from the back-end and approached Virtina. The Virtina team made the fields dynamic and customizable from the back-end for the client.
The client was using the default email template for their WooCommerce store. Virtina built a custom email template that complimented well with the company's brand. The content of the email template was also modified as per the client's request.
The approval/rejection for an order is given via mail. Originally, even if one of the personnel approved/rejected a purchase order, he/she could end up approving/rejecting it again. To prevent this, Virtina implemented a message to be displayed. The message appears for orders which have already been approved/rejected to inform the personnel.
During the purchase process, the user can choose from the list of personnel or approvers. Virtina made it possible for the client or admin to assign a different Approver to a user from the backend. Doing so would send an email to the user as well as the approver informing them of the change.
The Virtina team also implemented a multi-address feature on the client's WooCommerce store. The feature made it possible for the user to save more than one address to his account. The user could then choose from the addresses provided the next time he made a purchase.
Virtina fine-tuned the client's WooCommerce store for better performance and functionalities. As a result of which the client left with a highly functional WooCommerce store with an improved feature set.
