The client discovered us on the official WooCommerce Experts directory & got in touch with us. At the time of contact, the brand was running its services on WooCommerce. They were building an eCommerce website where customers can buy translation & subtitling services.
The client only needed six varied services for this purpose. They relied on a per word pricing plugin from Angelleye. The pricing plugin gives the ability to set WooCommerce pricing for products based on the word or character count in a document.
Using this, customers could now upload a document, and the corresponding amount is calculated based on how many words are there in the document.
The problem occurred as a result of the cart showing each word as a separate product on the cart page. The client thus required a fix on the plugin so that it would go on to show the entire document as one product & calculate the total cost based on the number of words.
This problem thus warranted an immediate fix from Virtina. Once done, the client was able to show all the products under one category in the cart and order summary.
A result of these changes was a considerable improvement in the checkout process. Due to the fixes rendered, the client was able to determine the exact amount per order.
