Automattic, the parent company for WooCommerce and WordPress.com, introduced a new ad network called Blaze that places ads on millions of free WordPress and Tumblr sites at a low rate of $5 per day. The network was introduced exclusively for Tumblr users in April 2022. The company now extends its services to WordPress users. WordPress.com bloggers can access the dashboard at wordpress.com/advertising to start advertising. WordPress self-hosted publishers need the free or premium version of the Automattic Jetpack WordPress plugin to access the network. Once they install the plugin, they can launch the campaign from the WordPress.com dashboard at wordpress.com/home, navigate to the posts or page screen, scroll down to pick the posts or pages for advertising, and click on the ellipsis menu to select ‘Promote with Blaze.’
