Virtina won a project from a B2B refrigeration company in New Jersey, United States. The brand deals with a variety of refrigeration equipment. It is widely popular as a one-stop-shop for coolers, freezers, dairy cases, etc.
They relied on eight warehouses for their inventory requirements. The client handles most of their products via DropShipment. As such, they would deliver any 3rd Party item to the customer from the warehouse, nearest to the buyer's delivery address.
The Magento experts at Virtina developed the earlier eCommerce store for the client running on Magento 1.x. Upon learning of the end of support on Magento 1.x versions, the client approached us again to migrate their eCommerce site to Magento 2.
Beyond this, they wished to simplify the sales tax process. They wanted to give the ability to request custom prices (RFQ), display a catalog on product pages, and showcase a striking gallery of the different pictures uploaded by their customers
The client also requested blogging capabilities and wished to feature a gallery. They even asked for a dynamic phone number to be listed on the header of the website. The said number would vary depending on the location of the visitor. Aside from this, the client desired a Request for Call feature on their website.
The client wanted another unique service. As per this, every buyer had the option to get the purchased item installed on their premises. Finally, they wished to let the visitors see the ratings, certifications and specifications sheets under every product sold on the store.
The client also laid an additional condition on the purchase of "non eCommerce" products. For such products, the client required the buyer to submit extra info.
We performed an upgrade to Magento 2 and carefully transferred all the vital entities. Not only that, but the experts in Virtina performed the migration without any data loss or corruption.
To streamline their tax problems and allow real-time sales tax calculation, the astute developers in Virtina integrated a plugin called TaxJar. TaxJar helped simplify their tax calculation and expertly handled everything, from estimates to reporting to sales tax filing.
For custom pricing, we embedded a functionality called Request for Quote. An RFQ button would appear underneath all the products that qualified for the same. Clicking on the button would lead to an RFQ form.
To resolve the Dropshipment challenge, we utilized ShipperHQ. Integrating Shipper HQ on the store helped the client extract the stock level from each warehouse's inventory system and then update the same on the site. We synced their products to the Warehouse inventory, which allowed real-timeStart a project with us!
Virtina can help you to increase your revenue, improve profit and enhance customer experience.
