Recently, Virtina successfully completed a significant project for Klein Electronics, seller of 2-Way radio devices and accessories. The platform used for the project completion is BigCommerce and the development team at Virtina delivered the project successfully.
The user journey was proving to be difficult for the customers browsing the client’s website. There were issues relating to mobile front besides customization issues - both of which were adversely affecting the customers’ browsing experience. While approaching Virtina for technical assistance, the client elaborated on the issues they were facing in the site and expected complete resolvement of the persistent issues.
Klein Electronics was using a Stencil theme. The older theme that they were using was not responsive especially in the mobile front. They decided that they wanted a mobile-responsive theme which as they realized was possible only with upgradation from Stencil theme. The team at Virtina confirmed on planning upgradation using BigCommerce and settling clients issues perfectly in the briefest span. They attended to the project immediately. Customization processes were planned ahead of the project work right in the first phase.

The client specifications were addressed rightly during the customization processes. The Electronics company planned their site to be the most user-friendly to improve customer experience. With an eye to get better competence and improve the ease of tracking products in their website, certain specifications were laid by the client. They emphasized on the options of finding products on the site in different ways. The same product would be found with different and easier search options.
Virtina’s team decided that better levels of improvement were deemed essential for the site and this could be planned in the BigCommerce platform, the latest version. A mere theme upgrade would not resolve the issues, better technical solution was required. It was decided that a new store would be planned using the newer version of BigCommerce that would facilitate client requirement fulfilment. Since design changes were not specified, the same design could be carried forward. But theme installation would be performed. Product migration would be a top priority and easy accessibility of the product for the customers would be a top consideration during the project in its successive phases.
The menu of the site displays all categories and subcategories of the products.The client required the options for the users to access the products through different searches.

They wanted the customers to have the options to find the accessories or other components by shopping by accessories, shop by phone model or shop by category options. The customers would be able to reach the product by multiple ways and thus improve their accessibility. This would generate good user experience. For example, if a customer wants to purchase accessories for their phones, then they would be able to search the accessories by phone model, search by brand, search by the accessories category.
Based on the inputs from the client and adherence to their specifications, various tasks were completed in the different project phases. The entire menu was arranged with an eye to boost the accessibility of the customers. Re-arrangement of the categories and improvements were carried out to improve the convenience of any customers tracking products in Klein Electronics.
Besides these technical issues that were resolved, new themes were introduced in the website. The color structure was decided by the clients and it was implemented well.

Another requirement of the client was on positioning the products. The position of the products were required to be changed based on the client requirement. The products were to be placed near to the add-to-cart section. This would be better for customers to find products easily.

Another prime requirement from the client was to improve the category and subcategory of products displayed. A drop down menu would be displayed in the menu section. In the drop-down menu product names would be displayed. It would be possible to select the product in the menu when displayed and clicking on the product name would be possible. It was also possible to type the name of the products and then search for it. Thus, the drop-down menu would enable both typing and searching for products easily. A default listing of the products was also provided allowing customers to find their preferred products easily.
Considering all the client specifications and addressing their requirements, the project was completed successfully. As the client envisioned, the website would be transformed for high user accessibility and thus bring in high conversions. The target of the project was to scale the convenience of the customers finding products on the website and improve their user experience. While customers are able to find products easily, they would find it ideal to plan purchases on the website. Tracking products easily would promote shopping on the websites and the customers would end up purchasing more than required products on the website. It would also motivate them to plan recurrent purchases and bring in great revenue for the website.
